Saturday, October 7th 6:30pm
Today has been a good day. He had his "head" capped and things are looking good. He will get to sit in a chair tonight and I think he is happy about that.
The outpouring of love and support has again been overwhelming. Chase took a nap today and caused a major delay in our holding pattern. :) But that's okay. Everyone has been patient and continued to come back. He loved to see his friends and he is certainly not getting bored this way. Remember though, only two in the room at a time since it is ICU. Thanks for understanding.
You will see that he still seems like chase. He has a sense of humor and loves to chat when he's not resting. His spirits are good today. We pray they will stay the same tomorrow.
Thanks again for all your continued support and prayers. We feel them, so keep them coming.

-Chase's Mom

Hey Chase;
We are all hoping and praying that things go well. I miss talking baseball with you. I really need your help in solving some of these Sudoku puzzles. Our prayers (mine and Sherrill's) are with you and your family. If you should need us, Please don;t hesitate to call on any of the Maness family

Chase!

Hey man i was just stopping by to add to what Ryan had to say about the scrimmage. Yes, i was the one that gave up the homerun to Horton; wish you could've seen it, it was a bomb. It was the longest scrimmage I've ever been a part of, it lasted like 12 innings. We're all missing you around the stadium and can't wait to have you back. I need help with the vacuum!

You're in all of my family's thoughts and prayers every day so keep up the positive attitude! We're collecting some movies for you today so hopefully they get in there either today or tomorrow.

Don't worry you'll have the other nurse soon...

Can't wait to have you back

Colin

Hi Chase! You are a big part of our prayer chain at Jamestown Presbyterian. There are so many people there that know you from your days at Ragsdale and know what an extraordinary young man you are. You will continue to be lifted up in prayer as you continue in this process of diagnosis and treatment. You have been blessed with such a loving family and an abundance of friends.
We know that you have such a positive outlook on life and that attitude will be such an important part of your healing process. As for all of us Schelhammer's, we just plain think the world of you Chase, and believe that God has BIG plans for your life. You are in our prayers, Steve and Dori
