Today has been a good day. He had his "head" capped and things are looking good. He will get to sit in a chair tonight and I think he is happy about that.
The outpouring of love and support has again been overwhelming. Chase took a nap today and caused a major delay in our holding pattern. :) But that's okay. Everyone has been patient and continued to come back. He loved to see his friends and he is certainly not getting bored this way. Remember though, only two in the room at a time since it is ICU. Thanks for understanding.
You will see that he still seems like chase. He has a sense of humor and loves to chat when he's not resting. His spirits are good today. We pray they will stay the same tomorrow.
Thanks again for all your continued support and prayers. We feel them, so keep them coming.
-Chase's Mom
Chase Jones, a brain cancer survivor, a son, a brother, a baseball player for UNC Chapel Hill and now a young man going on many adventures to bring awareness of childhood cancer. His hopes are to help others with the knowledge of having "been there, done that."
How did you find out about Chase's Blog?

Chase had so many visitors today..it was awesome!! His entire extended family..all the aunts and uncles..from New Orleans to Knoxville..were all here. Students & Teachers from his HS (Ragsdale)..baseball players and friends from UNC..so much love filled the ICU.
His parents were able to speak with the oncologist and nuerologist and found out that the biopsy pathology results would not be available till Monday. Chase was awake and alert, watching the baseball playoffs, and talking with visitors. He is very anxious to be out of there.
Tomorrow, the drainage tube will get "capped" of to begin the process of evaluating how effective the drainage procedure was. Please pray it was 100% effective..thank you...
We welcome your visitation, please try to come in groups of four or less to keep the traffic flow at a manageable state. Feel free to leave comments for Chase on this page. Thank you for all your emotional and prayer support.

Had surgery last night to drain the fluid causing pressure on his brain (the headaches he's been having). Doctors were able to extract a small sample of the tumor to send to pathology for a diagnosis. We are hoping to get some type of report by tonight (10/6). He slept well last night.
Thank you for your prayers.
